The Weekend school seeks to provide religious instruction for students from kindergarten to high school. Students are taught Arabic and Qur’anic studies, Seerah (the life of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) as well as morals and ethics. Older children learn about current issues and events while younger children are taught basic skills including how to pray, how to prepare for prayer, and other important matters.

The Weekend School for 2015-2016 will begin on September 13th and it will run through May 15th, 2016. REGISTRATION WILL TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6. THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES ON THIS DAY.  Classes will meet on Sundays from 10:00am until 1:00pm. Throughout the year, the ISM Weekend School will hold various contests, including a Qur’an contest (where children recite selections of the Qur’an from memory), an Athan contest (where children compete with one another on who performs the best Athan (Call to Prayer), and an Islamic Studies contest where children will compete against one another in a test of their Islamic knowledge.
