Mission Statement

Muslims have been a part of the fabric of Milwaukee for more than fifty years. Their presence can be seen in schools, hospitals, businesses and government. Today, an estimated 15000 Muslims from every corner of the earth are happy to call greater Milwaukee their home. The mission of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee is to serve the religious, educational and social needs of our community and to promote good citizenship; to advocate for social justice, to build relations with other communities and to assist those in need, all according to the Qur’an and Sunnah (the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)).
