Visitors, like all others, will be requested to take off their shoes, slippers, sandals, boots, etc., when entering the prayer area and place them in racks provided at the entrance. Best time to visit
The Islamic Society of Milwaukee invites people to visit the Islamic Center on Sundays between 11 am to 12 pm with prior notice to the ISM office at (414) 282-1812. On most Sunday mornings, the Islamic Society of Milwaukee holds classes on the basics of Islamic belief or about other issues that relate to Muslim beliefs and practices. These sessions provide a very comfortable setting for visitors to learn about Islam and to ask questions.
Friday visits
Generally, Friday is not a good day for appointments and visitations. The Muslim community's main congregational prayers are held on Friday from 1 - 2 pm. With over 1200 attendees and limited parking facilities, visitation programs are difficult to organize.
