In an effort to reduce the spread of the coronavirus and to protect the health and safety of the general population, government agencies, businesses, religious groups, sports groups, political groups and many others are making major changes in their programs.
Large gatherings are being cancelled due to the potential spread of the virus.
The ISM Board, in cooperation with multiple physicians and others involved in the health care industry, have adopted a three level plan that will apply to ISM Masajid.
We are now at Level 2. All programs and Jumuah prayers at ISM locations were cancelled on Friday, March 13th.
The coronavirus outbreak has had a detrimental impact on the world since its discovery in China. Its continuous spread has infected over 100,000 individuals and has now raided Wisconsin. Unfortunately, with the vast number of Muslims in the area of Milwaukee, ISM had to close down any Masajid, as we are now in a statewide emergency. Ameena Yusuf, who graduated from Salam School, celebrated after a long journey to graduation. A story about her was broadcasted on Fox 6 News. She graduated Sunday, December 17th alongside other University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee classmates during the commencement ceremony. Yusuf graduated with more than 2,000 UWM students.READ MORE
