For over twenty years, the ISM has supported the Muslim Community and Health
Program (MCHC), a private, not-for-profit organization.
During MCHC’s initial years, its medical clinic was hosted inside Salam
Elementary School.
As MCHC expanded, the ISM provided space for MCHC and contributed to
MCHC’s success by providing large rent subsidies in order to allow MCHC to
provide free and reduced cost care to members of the Milwaukee community.
During its nearly 20 year existence, the ISM subsidies to MCHC have exceeded $2
million.
